Q: Are there any age restrictions on rafting?
A: Our Minimum age for rafting is typically 6-8 years old. However, in high water years like the 2023 season, our limit can increase up to 12 years of age. Please see our home page for updates.
(Note: As of now, our age limit is 8 and up for 2025, we will update our home page and booking site if that changes!)
Q: Are you open 7 days a week?
A: RER is open 6 days a week: Sunday through Tuesday & Thursday through Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Q: Is everything included in the rafting price?
A: All equipment, safety gear, and transportation to and from our rafting center are included in your rafting price. No hidden fees.
Q: Should I bring extra money for anything?
A: We have awesome souvenir photos available for purchase, as well as lots of snacks and fun things to buy in our retail shop. Tips for your guide are also always appreciated!
Q: Should I plan on tipping my guide?
A: Tips are not required, but are always a kind and gracious gesture after your trip. Our guides work hard to not only keep you safe but also entertained during your adventure. :) If you’re feeling extra generous, the bus drivers and photographer are always excited about small tips too!
Q: Do I need to wear a helmet?
A: We do not require helmets for rafting, but they are available upon request at no charge.
Q: Can I bring my own Life Jacket?
A: You must wear the life vest we provide.
Q: Do you have a weight limit?
A: We do not have a weight limit. As long as you fit into our life jacket, then you will be fine. We carry Youth, Adult, and Adult Plus sizes. We have never had to turn anyone away for weight issues.
Q: do i need a reservation?
A: Yes. Our trips fill up quickly, and most of our weekends completely sell out. We cannot guarantee you a trip as a walk-in.
Q: What is the cheapest day to raft?
A: Monday through Thursday are the cheapest days to raft!
Q: Do you take photos of our Trip?
A: We have a photographer on site who will take photos of your adventure. They will be available to view and purchase immediately after your rafting trip and come on a Souvenir USB that looks just like your raft!
Q: Do I need to wear shoes?
A: Yes! Shoes are required. We suggest water shoes, old sneakers, or a strappy adventure sandal. Shoes without backs are not recommended. Crocs are OK in sport mode.
Q: Should I bring a change of clothes for after the trip?
A: A change of clothes is a great idea! No need to bring them with you in the raft or bus. You can leave them in your car for when you return. For your comfort, we offer rinse stations and have changing rooms on site.
Q: Should I bring my own towel?
A: Towels are a great idea for after your trip! You won’t want to take them on the raft, though. Save them for after your trip, along with your dry clothes!
Q: What should I do with my car keys during the trip?
A: Never take your car keys on the river. They will get lost. We provide a safe and secure location for your car keys at check-in.

PAYMENT
Payment is due in full 30 days before the date of your trip. If your reservation is made less than 30 days before your trip date, payment is due at the time of booking.
CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS:
Changes can not be made to a reservation within 48 hours of trip departure. A $10 per person fee will be applied to reservation date changes made less than 15 days before the trip date. Reservation changes will not be made to trips departing within 48 hours. Date changes must be within the current rafting season.
CANCELLATIONS, Late arrivals & REFUNDS:
Each reservation requires a substantial amount of time and expense before departure. Therefore, cancellations made within 15 or fewer days of the trip date will not be refunded.
Cancellations made more than 15 days before the trip date will be refunded less a 20% service charge.
Please arrive 15-30 minutes before your trip departure time. Refunds will not be issued in the case of late arrivals. We will wait up to 10 minutes past our listed departure time if you're running a little behind.
We do not issue refunds in the case of inclement weather (warm summer rain is the best!), nor do we issue refunds after the completion of the trip.
Reservations, payment, cancellation & refund policies also apply to Groupon and Splashback Pass customers.
Groupon Specific Policy (per Groupon)- Rafting trips purchased through Groupon adhere to Groupon's Cancellation Policy. Groupon will not refund any voucher, and all sales are final unless otherwise stated in the fine print.
CANCELLATIONS MADE BY RER:
All trip reservations are subject to rescheduling or cancellation. Our policy requires a minimum of 6 riders per trip. While we allow fewer riders to book a specific trip and hope that we will reach our minimum of 6 riders, there is no guarantee. In the event that a trip does not meet the required minimum of 6 riders, RER will contact you 24 hours before your reservation with the option to reschedule or receive a refund for your trip.
